Default Vin # help?

Im trying to find a vin# on a 04 cbr 600rr. I dont see it on the right side of the neck. I found the motor number but the dealer said they cant find out what vin number the motor is from. Is there anywhere else the vin can be? Any help or pictures would be sweet.

vin# should be on the front left portion of the frame.

you can see the sticker there. It's possible the sticker has been removed, like if the frame was repainted / powder coated

besides the sticker, it should be stamped in the metal near the neck on the right side.

I'd say the bike is fishy. Removing the VIN sticker isn't supposed to be done even during powder-coating / repainting. It is done but every reputable shop would put it back.

Removing the stamp on the frame sets off alarm bells in my mind

Its sitting at a tow yard and it will just rot there. I figured if i could find something on it either they will find it was hot and someone gets there bike or if its not then maybe put it back together.

You could contact a local Auto Theft Task Force (usually through state police) and they can locate the hidden VINs, if any, or cross reference the engine number.
