Typical IdleTemperature
07 CRB600RR - KR Tuned Exhaust (Silencer only, not the full system), PC3. Assume average outside temperature is around 60 degrees.
If the bike is warmed up and just idling, what should the bike temperature be? I also heard that during average riding the Honda rides a little warmer than most bikes. Is this true? At what temperature is the bike overheating?

It all depends on how long the bike is left idling. The temperature will keep rising until the fan kicks on and cools it back down. Not sure on the 600RR, my 1000RR's fan kicks on around 220, and off around 215. At 60 degs outside temp, I could see temps in the low 220's. On hot days, I've seen around 230 max. And the temp will rise fast with it just idling. 5 minutes of idling will usually have the fan kicking on. Also, stopping at stop signs will usually kick the fan on. Once the bike is warm from riding, stopping will cause the temp to climb very fast.
The cooling system on these bikes are small, mainly for weigh reduction, and don't have the capicity to keep the engine cool for very long on their own without some airflow. usually the fan keeps them in check though.
If your seeing temps near 240, I'd say your on the brink of overheating.
Are you having any cooling issues? If so, say what they are and people on here will be more than happy to help.
