Default Two Brothers Muffler '99 F4 help

I am mounting a new Two Brothers C-2 slip on, on to my '99 600 F4. I feel the instructions are a tad incomplete and need a little help. When installing this muffler, are you to use a muffler gasket where the "S" pipe joins the collector? My previous system was road rashed and trashed, so I am not sure what was there before. The original shop manual does showuse ofa gasketbetween the original muffler and collector. The Two Brother instructions makes no mention at all. They do provide a 3M high temp gasket tube of sealant, but if I am reading the instructions correctly that is for between the "S" pipe and the muffler. Again, no mention of using this between the "S" pipe and collector.

It sounds like it wouldnt hurt to put it between the two parts then. Sounds like they are substatuting a sealant for an actual gasket. But, I wouldnt think there would need to be any type for gasket between there since there should be a flush connection, but I may be wrong.
