Tires tires and more tires

Hi all,
I have a 1996 CBR900RR and want to get new tires. It came originally with the Battlax BT56's that were great. I've ridden two sets of these tires down and then replaced them about three years ago with BT010's (as suggested by the Honda dealer) and the bike has never riden good since.
Have any of you guys as a kid ever tightened the steering on your bicycle too much; the bike rides lousy especially going slow, it leans and notches from the steering center position, if you have any idea of what I mean. Well, that's the way my CBR has felt since the tires were replaced with BT010's, I'm not sure if the dealer screwed anything up during the installation; I can't find anything so I'm suspecting the tires... But even though there's meat left on these tires, I can't stand the ride and am hoping replacing the tires with the original BT56's will solve this issue.
Does anyone have any experiences like this or any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can provide to me...
Brian

yeah, i`d agree that the michelins are crap compared with the rest, especially crap when cold and/or wet. Diablo`s Rule!!
As regards the handlin on your cbr-9, have you checked the tyre pressures? or that the wheels have been ballanced correctly by the dealer? They can both make your bike feel weird. Goin back to the 056`s should fix it but i can`t get why you`d have that problem with the 010`s unless there dodgy tyres?

The BT010 was the replacement tire for the BT056. Then the BT014 came along as the 10's replacement. I'm now running the BT012SS and think they are waaaaaay superior to the Diablo's that came on the bike. The Diablo's were adequate but did not at all inspire confidence. They also lost grip before the rubber was all used up -- I really hated that. It's like, dayum, I should've done more burn outs
