Default Tires

I just bought a 2003 CBR600 F4i and it came with a new set of Continental Road Attack (not mounted yet). I intend to use the bike mostly for track days. What do you guys think of these tires?

Uh......I have read that they are "OK". But they wilted under a litre bike so, I dont know how good they really are. Probably ok for a 600. Try em, if you dont like em you can always buy new ones.

gixxereater is right. I cant remember which magazine did the test, but they came in like 3rd or 4th. It was the avon venom, bridgestone battleaxe bt014, and then either the dunlop 208 qualifiers or the conti attack.

Supposedly, the conti attacks, have this new tread compound called "black chili". My buddy has the qualifiers, and I personally have the BT014 ultra high performance tires. My brother has the diablo corsas and he rode our bikes and said that the BT014's felt better for cornering in both the dry and wet conditions. They are awesome!!!

I dont know who is ranking these tires but I've never had a problem with even the 208 dunlups. I could break the rear loose if at a good lean and getting nasty with the throttle, but other wise, they were great. I have the Q's now and they offer a TON of feedback over the 208's. They are noticably softer. Havent had them on the track yet, but they appear as they will be good for it. Tires are hard to compare unless they are on the same bike. Every bike likes different things. When you find what works best for your bike, stick with them. That's part of the fun anyway, finding out what works best with your bike and you.
