Default Tire damage question???

Ok, I'm pissed. Last night after a nice little ride I got back home and discovered a razor blade neatly impacted into my rear tire! A razor blade!! Anyway, I removed it and there doesn't seem to be any leak. My question is, is it safe to keep riding on this tire or should I just get a new one? Its the stock Dunlop and it only has about 1000 miles on it so I'd really like to keep it but now I'm afraid it will explode or something at 70 mph on the highway. The cut is about half a cm or so deep but is at an angle(not straight down). Heres a pic:

What do you think?

I posted a pic but they never work on here. It showed up when I was making the thread but it doesn't show up here. ANyway, the cut is about 4-5 mm and is about halfway between the middle of the tire and the outer edge. The cut is at an angle, not straight down so depth straight down is probably only a couple of mm. I'm nearly certain that the cut is confined to the outer layer of the tire. It is about 1-1.5 cm wide.....

It looks small enough I wouldn't worry about it. Try to remember exactly where it is at and check it frequently, but as long as its not loosing air you should be fine.

looks shallow enough to me....can you see any threads down in there?...if not, run it.

I might get some tire patch glue to glue that flap down though.

He's worried about the tire being able to mechanically hold up to it's z-rating, not about a slow leak. For as shallow as the cut is I'd say you have no more worry then tread wear to the same point. You should be ok though.
