Tire Cupping (issue?)
I would wait until you are very comfortable. "extremely conservative through corners" doesn't play well at the track.
Track riding is hard work and expensive.
Don't rush it. You wouldn't pick up a guitar and expect to play a concert after the first week, would you?

No I wouldn't expect to but I live in WI. Don't know if you have ever driven through but the roads are awful. Lots of random cracks uneven surfaces and gravel is stupid common on the corners as people cut them short and throw it on the road :/. That and I almost always ride alone so there is no backup or 911 call should something go wrong. So I play on the side of caution as iv never crashed or layed her down yet... dropped well yes (more than once (
STUPID STUPID) lesson learned hopefully) probably not. But crashing and spending time and money repairing and off work is no fun. So better safe than sorry. If that means I should wait a year or even 2 then so be it.
You can crash at the track too....
I have driven through Wisconsin, but that was 35 years ago when I was 12.
Work on sharpening your senses to the hazards around you. You will soon be able to know what stupid people are going to do before they know.
Work on relearning how to react properly by instinct and avoid target fixation.
Work on being able to ride without thinking about it.
Work on body positioning and throttle control.
Work on learning the bike mechanically.
Work on having fun.

I think that when I said track day earlier that you were assuming group of guys get together and have at it. What I mean to say is a class at a track LEARNING PROPERLY how to use and push the bike. So demon think that's a viable idea?
Any basic class is a good thing, even for seasoned riders. If it's a class that is meant for your level of experience that happens to take place at a track.... HELL YES!
Make sure to record everything. You will want to review it later, then see it again to measure your progress, and then laugh your *** off at it years from now.
