Throttle Disengages at 6000 RPM
I need some help. I have a 2006 CBR 1000RR and I have a serious intermittent problem with throttle response at 6K. The bike is stock with some aftermarket cosmetics. Sometimes while riding, the bike has no throttle response once I get to 6K. I have taken the bike to the dealer and they had the same results, but the bike does not do it do it all the time. They hooked up the computer and did not get any results. The bike will be turned-in on Tuesday for troubleshooting. If anyone has had this problem, please tell me what was done to correct the problem.
Man that sucks. Im not sure if any of this will help, but,
the first thing I would suspect is the FPR.
the other things I would think of is your exhaust valve isnt opening like it should, which is right around 6 grand. Or perhaps your intake flapper is sticking shut, again, right around 6 grand where it should be open.
the bad thing is, 6 grand is right where quite few things are happening. the dual stage injector is starting to fire, both the exhaust and intake flapper are opening, and any other ecu changes that taking place at that point.
but, if its intermitten, I would suspect the FPR is on its way out.
