i need to know if the throttle cable adjustments can cause an irradic idle. my bike idles at 1200, then goes to 2500 then back and forth. can the throttle cable adjustments if incorrect cause this symptom?

 

I don't think so. It sounds like you have some carb problems.

 

yeah i know, guys at the shop i took it to suck. i just finished re-rebuilding them. found a main jet lying in the bottom of the float bowl but still getting some issues. trying to figure out if its the carbs still or something else.
