Tank and Fairing Painting?????
How can a get a good result? I want a clean glossy finish like that of a new or newer bike but my tank has dents that the guy before me filled with bondo so is there any way to get a good clean and consistent color over all by myself? or.. Where can I take them to get painted and how much do you guess it might cost??
Will this all work even with the bondo??
(I have photos of it all..my paint job, the paint that was on there before me and all the dents...there all on my page if it would help you answer my question)
Thanks Guys !!!

Prep, prep, prep. Lots of filler and block sanding will hide those nasty dings. You can get a good paint "kit" on ebay, if you've never done it before then stick with single stage kit. (meaning no clear coat required, but can still be done if you want a "deeper" finish) Any paint can be used, but you may need a flex agent and adhesion promoter, and some finishes already have them in it. It'll cost 200-300 bucks for everything, take it to a collision shop and you'll pay at least twice as much for a "hack-n-whack" job or thousands for a show quality finish.

i used house of kolor lake violet its a really cool pearl that turns purple at angles. in that pic it only has a semigloss inter coat clear called sg100 for doing graffix over so it will look much cooler. i work in a shop and have done all the work less spraying the color ,my buddy is doing all the spraing and is going to air brush it, i have about 30 hours in prep and about 500 in paint in matierials but im going for the show quality finish. all im waiting for now is the kosmic chrome paint to come in to do tribals then we are going to candy over that for a colored mirror look. when its all done il post all the pics i have.
