Does anyone know of an equivalent car thermostat that will fit the CBR1000F?
Honda Motorcycle dealer wants over $100 for what should be a low cost item.

 

Hi and welcome to the forum. Might help to post what year the 1000F is from. Not sure if all years used the same one or not.

 

Well it looks like all years of the CBR1000F use the same Thermostat. Not cheep, but a far cry from $100.

Looking at the fiche @IDoDirt provided, I took the part number and search for "19300-MG9-000 compatible, Australia" and found some for around 46 AUD. which is still pricy but cheaper than you dealer by a long shot. If your thermostat is present and bad, you can take it to a local parts store and see if they could match one from inventory.

Thermostat appears to be the same on all years of the CBR1000F. It's not cheap, but it's a long way from $50
