Default street fighter electrical issue

Hello. I have a 95 f3 that I am converting to a street fighter. When I unplugged the speedo cluster today the bike started having running issues. Basically it was cutting out above 35mph. I think there is a servo motor or something that regulates air flow that gets bypassed when you remove the speedo cluster. Can someone explain which speedo wires I need to splice together to get it running again??
