strange front end wobble

strange front end wobble
so i got an 01 f4i. went riding the other day and all in all it was good. i noticed getting off the freeway that my front end had some crazy bounce! it wasn't like a vibration left to right, felt more like an up and down movement. upon closer inspection i noticed that the rim does have one small dent in it i didn't notice before (only owned 2 weeks) but im not sure why i didnt feel it before. pretty sure i didnt throw a weight either. my front left fork seal is leaking so im wondering whether this sounds like an issue stemming from a dented tire or if this could be fork related. Thanks!

I think you just answered it all ...
Do the fork seals and re fill them equally ...One fork with less oil can cause issues at speed ..
Get a balance done or and replace the rim , small dents can throw out the front wheel real easily ...
Check the tire when she is being balanced for any cupping or dis figuration ...and get rid of it if its not right ...
May sound like a lot of work , but front ends are prolly one of the most important things on the bike ...
Handling and stability can be effected very easily when things are not quite right up front ...

One other thing, please under no circumstances ever be tempted to "bang" a rim back to shape or remove a dent ... when they get dented it's a one way ticket, they deform permanently and if you try to push them back they break or severely weaken ...dented cast rims are lethal if you try to "bash" them back ... no matter what result your mates say they had, don't do it ever ever, no not never!!
Did I mention not to "bang" cast alloy rims back to shape?? ;-)
