I bought my bike a few weeks ago from its second owner, who knows absoutely nothing about it, lol. I was getting ready to clean it up a little today and noticed the header was gold/yellow colored. Are the stock pipes colored? Sorry for the big pic

Looks normal to me bro. I think a lot of the coloring comes from the metal heating/cooling... its tempered... so yeah... I THINK anyway :P

Thanks for the info. I shoulda took a pic after I cleaned them. I guess I was just impressed when I saw the solid gold color.

Stainless steel turns that gold color when heated. I myself have the titanium headers and they turn a rainbow color when heated.

yep stainless steal which it is.... turns golden through heat cycles. its normal.

 

Do you have the stock headers????
