Default sticky/jerky throttle

When I release or engage the throttle, it's a bit jerky. Is that how its suppose to be? I have to use the clutch to smooth out the ride. I don't remembering it being so jerky when I first got the bike. (I bought the bike used after 8k.)

I am experiencing the exact same thing, and wasn't sure if this was the throttle cable or a worn out chain and sprokets???

when i got my bike my throttle was sticky and jerky... but i found it was because of the large diameter vacuum hose that go's inbetween #2 and #3 carbs... needs to go over the peice of metal, instead of under it. it was binding up on the circular throttle thing that rotates back and forth... pretty easy fix. but this would only happen if you've been into your carbs or messed with your vacuum lines and accidently put this hose back the wrong way. just a thought.

I'm thinking about the F4i's off/on jerk. I'm going to see if it can be smoothed to feel like a carburated bike with the Power commander.
