SPUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!connecting rod bearing
I spun a rod on my 1994 CBR 900rr. Im into rebuilding the engine and have found out about the different thickness's of the bearings. Any identification has been worn off the bearing, and i guess I was wondering if there was a stock thickness, or any other way off knowing which one to get instead of taking out the rods and ****. I want to rebuild but im kinda stuck. If anyone could help I would apreciate it.. Thanks.

PG is right, especially on 900RR's the rod bearings are famous for being spun. A Clymer manual is by far the best resource...it lists tolerances and diameters and bearing thicknesses...color codes and everything. I have one if you need something specific, but if you work on a 900RR, you'll want one of your own. : )

SPUNconnecting rod bearing
I had 132,000 miles on my main bearings before the car was stolen. Never had metal shavings in my oil. If you are going to bother undertaking replacing bearings you might as well go all out and replace everything that you feel would fail. Its useless to band aid problems and hope for good results. If you remove the bearing caps on the rods and place some plastigage in there and retorque down the rod caps, this will give you an indication if your clearences are off and the bearing is worn.
