Speedometer and other related issue
Hello all, So I have a rescue bike from the ghetto, literally bought it with flat tires rusted and dented gas tank, dead battery, etc.. It is a 2002 CBR954. I wasn't going to buy it, but then I heard it run... Well I am a headlight, horn, and front turn signals away from it being street ready when I turned it on today everything on the speedometer display, tach, left turn signal, and horn stopped working. I know the horn worked before, but today it wasn't even getting any voltage to it. The wierd part is the right turn signal and bright lights work.. I have a video of my noobie self showing all of this, but I don't know if it's possible to post it haha. It is my second bike coming up from a little 500 blast, and my first project type bike. My wife and father in law keep telling me that I should just get a new bike, but I want to atleast ride this one for a season. Any help at all on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Usually when you have several things that suddenly stop working it goes back to a fuse(s) or some connector that's been bumped or unplugged while working on the bike. Do you have the shop manual for it ? This will help you track down where the power comes from for each of the items that don't work. From there it's just a process of elimination.

First place I would look is the fuses, and the wiring...I know my bike had a wiring issue that caused it to not run if the handlebars turned a certain way (wasn't very good!) I looked around and found the last guy to wire it did a horrible job and the wire was coming out of it's connector when I moved the bars!! Needless to say I reconnected everything with the right connectors and wrapped with electrical tape. No problems now!
Good luck!
Good luck!
