Default Speedometer LCD screen

Hey guys I know there are always questions about speedos but I have yet to see this one. I am new to riding and I was trying to start my bike by but it wouldnt start, so I tried to start it multiple times and in turn the LCD turned on and off also and I killed my battery. Afterwards I noticed on the left side of my bikes speedometer where the gas meter is displayed, one of the bars in the Gas meter is dead, weather the bike is on or off that specific bar is lit up. Now my question is there anyway to fix this dead spot and if not can I just replace the left hand side of the speedometer? The bike is a cbr600rr 2005, thank you for your help guys.

Hi. I can't be certain, but once you have a fully charged battery (I assume it is still flat at the moment?) the fuel level indicator might re-set itself? Try it and see what happens. I went into town the other day, the bike starting first time, despite being stood for a week or so, but when I came to start it again the battery wouldn't spin the engine over fast enough. I can only put it down to me having my lights on and only travelling 5 miles into town. My grandson had to bring my jump start machine out to me and then the bike started right away. I've since charged the battery and had no problems since, but I may get one of those smart chargers just in case. I think if you use your bike every day it wouldn't be a problem. Hope you sort out your speedo read out!
