Default Spark plug alternative?

Hey guys,
I searched the forums and confirmed my bike required NGK CR9EH-9.

I found it at a local automotive store for less than what the dealer is asking...but its still quite a bit.

Dealer wanted $16 ea. (Canadian dollars) x 4 = $64 before tax
Local auto parts store has them in pack of two at $25 = $50 before tax

Is there an alternative to CR9EH-9? I didn't even know spark plugs could cost more than $10 a piece!

Also... any idea where I can get a STOCK air filter to replace the current one? Again, dealer is wanting $68!

Thanks for any tips/info.

As for the plugs, just gotta suck it up and fork out the dough. 50 bucks is what I paid on ebay. For the filter, you can get a K&N on ebay for around 50 bucks too.

Yup.. i just ended up forking out the $50 for the plugs.

Actually...I found a place that had them on sale. They had only 2 packs of 2 (4 total) left, so I picked them up @ $20 for each pack = $40.

I'll search around for K&N /stock filters the same way I guess.

Thanks!

I looked up plugs for my bike thru Amsoil and they were only $6 each. I called a Pep boys once and they wanted $14 each. I signed up for their preferred customer thing that they do. They have the air filters too but I did look up a price for them yet.

www.sparkplugs.com has great prices on all plugs.BMC or K&N air filters are normally cheaper.

Being from Canada, it works out to cost too much after shipping and duties.

Also, most US companies I've dealt with ship with UPS... so its a shipping fee, border fee + UPS brokerage fee.
