ive been looking ata motor to buy for myf3, but the guy that has it says it runs good butthe transmissionslips out of 2nd and into 3rd under accleleration. whats wrong with it?? bad clutch or something worse??

 

Sounds like a bent shift fork or damage to the actually gears.

 

I have sort of the same problem, my bike comes out of 2nd gear into nutral which really upsets the balance in a corner.

Does anyone have some more thoughts on this?

 

Check out your clutch. I've never had this happen on my bike, but my car has done it. I changed the clutch problem went away. Just a thought.

 

Does it happen if you hammer the gas too?? If so, ifs definitely a bend shift for.damaged gear.

 

I have alwaysread this problemis ushally a result of a bent shift fork, oftenfrom people downshifting and hammering though multiple gears at once without letting them spin between each downshift. No personal experience I just doa lot of reading.
