SHORTY EXHAUST?
i was reading a magizine, when i came a crossed a picture of a cbr 929 with a short exhuast. looked as if the original exhuast had been cut more then 1/2 way. WHy was this pipe liek that.. where can u get it,what is it called and why did they do rthat?
The only short exhaust that I've seen are from Kerker. Kerker calls them a Star Boyz muffler. They are 16" long and kind of an oval shape. I suppose they short to not hit the ground during big time 12 o' clock wheelies. In other words, I'll never need one. If you find me at 12 o'clock on a ride, be sure to get some video because I'm going to be on my dumper before you know it. From what I can tell in the PU catalog, the pipes are a universal fit for most modern sportbikes and retail at around $200 to $350 depending on materials and/or finish.
If it's the one i've seen, it's usually for guys who stunt. it's not that easy to stunt with a huge pipe in your way. The short pipe (usually a yoshi) doesn't look good at all and takes away from the initial awesome look of the 929.
