Default Rotella T6 & Fram Filter?

I am getting ready to do an oil change on my bike and considering the Rotella T6 oil. I have seen a lot of people say it's ok. I also bought a Fram filter. Going to change the oil in the next few days. Anyone see any issues concerning the oil and filter combo? My bike is a 96 CBR900RR.

I see a lot of people saying they 10w40 for the bikes. So is the 5w40, Rotella T6, ok? I have the Amsoil Full Syn (20w50) in now from the last oil change. Is it OK to just drain the oil and put in the Rotella?

Rotella is great oil. 5w40 is fine. Just change the oil as usual...

Fram wouldn't be my choice, either. There's been a lot of discussion on other forums about frams being junky and I've personally seen a pretty shotty quality cartridge one (for a corolla). It had glue all over it, and the one edge of the element was separated.

I use purolator stuff because people say they're built well and I've never had an issue with them. They're also cheap and readily available at advance auto.

my bike loves mobile1 10w 40 as well as the filter, figures it would go for the expensive ****. I tried rotella t because I heard such great things but she didn't appreciate it.

So oil change is done. I put in 3 quarts, got it to running temp, oil was low, not showing in the spyglass. I added about 1/3 quart more and still not showing. I bumped it from 1/3 to 1/2 of the quart. took it for a ride. When I got home, the spyglass is completely filled with oil when I level the bike to check. Is that too much? Will it hurt the engine, or should it be ok? If not, what can I do?

Have bike completely level.
Run engine for 2-3 minutes.
Let sit for 2-3 minutes.
Determine oil level in sight glass. Oil level should not be above high mark at sight glass.
If oil level is above high mark, then drain out a bit til its at that mark.

It will be fine. Make sure youre level. A few degrees off will give you an incorrect reading.

But you need to ride it even more with clean oil...
