Rotella T?
Ok, I bought some Rotella T diesel oil (15W40) for my bike (f4) oil change. It was suggested to me by some local riders. Is this a dumb idea....I mean it is not for a motorcycle after-all. What do you guys think?
They said diesel oil has properties that make it much better to use then say, car oil.

I'm surprised you aren't already aware of all the guys around here that use Rotella. Although it is primarily marketed towards "fleet" applications (heavy duty diesel engines), it is an excellent if not superior oil to use in a variety of other vehicles; cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles. I've been using the 5W-40 synthetic during these colder months, but I'm going to switch to the 15W-40 for the summer.

The blue jug is good and does not have added friction modifiers that classifies it as "energy conserving" That being said i just put some 5W30 synthetic that is energy conserving in the bike. Not too concerned about it.
yea the moly additive is what you have too look out for. Its said it will cause clutch slippage.
Really... I have two gallons of Rotella in my garage, now I have to go look at them closer.
Cool, but I do have a white jug, I did not see any "blue" ones. Should I be returning it? Is there a friction modifier in the 15W40? I wish someone had told me about this stuff earlier, wow, way cheaper than synthetic "motorcycle" oil.
