Ignition switch? Kill switch? clutch switch? kickstand switch? Ground? Completely shorted battery, totally F***KED battery?

It doesn't crank at all? no fuel pump noise? No lights?

Batteries usually don't last when sitting for long periods of time, especially when left in the vehicle. The only time they do last is when you take it out, and put it inside on a shelf away from moisture and vast temperature changes. Odds are, the battery dropped a cell and needs to be replaced.

I would check all the fuses, then replace the battery. You should never jump a battery if you are unsure that it is still good or not. Jumping a dead battery is a dangerous thing.

You could take the battery to an autozone etc and they will be able to tell you if the battery is dead or not (for free).

Thanks for your service btw, gl!

i took the battery down to autozone and it has 0.5 volts. they hooked it up to a trickle charger for a couple hrs and it wasn't taking a charge at all. i bought a new yumasa battery for $100, popped it in, and viola, it works! pretty nice to see it finally fire up.

i've put air in the tires and lubed the chain, and it's running pretty good. when i get the chance this weekend, i plan on changing the oil, oil filter, and fuel filter, recommended above.

the bikes been sitting in the same spot for 1.5 years, so i don't know how screwed up the tires and balance are. i was reading an article that said an imbalance can 'cause serious wobble. is this something worth spending money on? registeration and insurance is already going to set me back alot.

Welcome back Wilkee

get new tires!.. Those tires have been sitting awhile and may start cupping soon and that's the worse feeling ever at high speeds.
Better safe than sorry.

I was on the freeway the other day, just wanted to see how it felt again. i was going about 110mph, downshifted to slow down which i've done alot before, but this time the back started wobbling alot. is this from cupping?... and what exactly is cupping?
