RE: Replacing fork caps?
You can take it off, carefully, there is a spring below it. Actually getting the thing off is relatively easy, its getting it back on thats the hard part.(said the school girl to the Bishop) Spring has to be recompressed (pushed back in) so it takes a bit of strength to push back down (& then turn the bugger into the thread) I have used a good fitting socket, with a ratchet extension, So I've got something solid to bear down on. Be advised that its nice shiny metal at the top & being new you don't want to scuff it up, so my suggestion is to put some electrical tape where the face of the socket will make contact with nut (just run the tape over the top & not over & under). If your going to use a spanner (wrench to you guys) same thing, but a spanner will like take forever. If you can get some help from someone all the better, cos once you push it down, it does need to be turned & extra support makes it a few minutes job, rather than an afternoon cursing all and sundry. Good luck
Oh yeah, most certainly do able on the bike.
