Default Repacking cut down Slip on

So last night I finally got to repacking my cut down D&D. After running with no packing, I was hoping this would quite down my bike...didn't do too much. So in an effort to make my bike even more quiet, I started stuffing steel wool into the center of the can and it was working! Bike started to idle better, and the noise was really coming down. I was really hammering this stuff in there in hopes that it wouldn't fly out.

Anyone else ever try this and figure a good way to keep stuff from flying out the center of the can?

I'm thinking of jamming a wire up the center after packing some more steel wool in there again. Don't be fooled, I have also packed the fiberglass inside the can, this is just to baffle the noise.

get some wire mesh andput it on before the cap, so when you put the end cap on, it should hold itin place...just a thought
