I used a blow-dryer and heated it up from the backside, then once it got nice and hot the decals pealed off real nice. It's a semi-slow process but the slower you go the better attention you can pay to not leaving the glue behind. Once I was done I only had a few very small patches of glue left to remove and I plan on using rubbing alcohol or wd40 now that I see that mentioned.

How do you get the decals of the gas tank? They are behind a layer of clear coat. I wanted to take those off also but don't really know how to go about it.

Today i removed the decals off my fairings because i am going to be painting them on saturday. I used that sticker remover and the goo gone stuff and neither did a very good job at all. I ended up using a blow dryer ( forgot to take the heat gun from work today) and pulling the decals off once the adhesive let go a little. It was a pain and i wish the sticker remover would have just taken them off haha but it did do a good job of taking off the left over sticky residue left behind from the decals.
Uh yeah, thats what it's for. After you take the sticker off you use that to clean the left over goo.

I just had mine sandblasted when I was redoing my bike. Otherwise you need to just sand it forever to get through everything.

I just took mine off yesterday and I've been applying Goo Gone and it's taking forever but it is working. If you do use a hair dryer to remove the graphics then it guarentees a film but a slow peal w/ lite heat really doesn't leave anything. Well, now for the wd-40!
