Default Relay location

Is the turn signal relay on an 06 f4i located between the head light assemblies?

On my 2000 F4 the signal relay is located on the right side behind the seat fairing. You have to remove the seat and then the fairing to access the all the relays. I don't know if it is different for your bike, but the look identical.

My problem is that my bike is stored for the winter in the inlaws barn so I can't listen to hear the relay. I have the Clymer manual for the f4-f4i 99-03 (bought it because I'm doing the banana seat swap) which shows the relay from 01-03 as being mounted between the head light assemblies. I realize that it stands to reason that this would be the same for 04-06 but I just want to be sure as I'm installing LED's all the way around and the inept mechanic at the dealership I spoke with said " I think it's on the subframe. " He may be right but he sounded so unsure/uninterested. I'm trying to decide whether to order inlines or a heavy duty rely.
thanks and sorry for the long *** explanation.

I know for a fact its under the tail section on a 01-03, since I just had it off to install my undertail. Probably same place on your year. Really easy to rmove and check, like 10 min.

Ok, thankyou. I'll probably go ahead and order a heavy duty relay to prevent fast flashing then.
