Default Rejetting

So I have a 94 F2 and I am considering rejjetting my carbs to make the exhaust sound more smooth (Yoshimura) and to give me a little more power. Is this a good idea? and I currently have 130 main jetts what should i get, and do i replace all the jets?

To get more power in carburetors you have to increase the amount of air if you increase the amount of fuel (larger Jets). otherwise all you're doing is dumping gasoline on the problem, and you wont get more power.

If you want to smooth out the exhaust with the added benefit of quicker throttle response, adjust your pilot jets and leave your main jets the *** alone. if you're complaining about some poping from a new after-market silencer, that's the result of excess unburned fuel exploding in the headers. believe it or not, it was doing that with your stock can too. this is so that it passes emissions testing at the time. The circuit you have to remove is called a fresh air injection circuit, more commonly referred to as a SMOG Reduction unit. remove that circuit, block off the openings, tune the pilots and you're set.

there, i just saved you a ton of money.
