Default Reflective Helmet Decals

Thinking of adding some reflective material to my helmet for better night visibility. Helmet is a solid yellow full face. Below are a few possibilities that I've found. My "A" list possibilities are the reflective black for good day/night cosmetics on the yellow background. Any reasons not to apply decals/tape to my helmet? Any recommendations? Thanks

Something reflective on your helmet for visibility is a good idea. I have reflective "cat eyes" on the back of my helmet.

My helmet is a flat black so I figured some reflective material would be ideal for night riding.
I went down to Walmart and bought some: Walmart.com: Duck Brand Red Reflective Tape, 1.5" x 30": Sealants, Fillers & Adhesives I ended up with this:
w00f.png?t=1317399499 It is crazy bright under light as you can see.
Don't know how well you would like a yellow/red color scheme on your helmet, they have white reflective tape available as well.

Sikuwolf, that stuff is crazy bright, I hadn't thought about the commercial products. No shortage of options out there.

I did find a company: Motorcycle Decals and Boat Lettering Graphics. Helmet Stickers and Reflective tape/pinstriping. that offers a number of different products with a heavy emphasis on vehicle use. Has anyone had a chance to use this stuff? Thoughts?

Yep, the DUCK brand Duck® Brand - Duct Tape, Packaging Tape, Weatherization, Shelf Liner and DIY products is what I used. In fact, I dug out the remainder & the packaging hasn't changed since I bought it 2-3 yrs ago. I cut off a length & cut it in half to make cat eyes.

Make sure your helmet is nice & clean b/f application. Put it on at room temperature. Mine has been on my helmet(s) thru rain, extreme heat, etc. & its still there.

Great thing about Duck products is that you find it just about everywhere.

Ya know, it's interesting that this topic came up. Recently I've been putting some Black reflective tape on my helmet and wheels. I'm trying to not change the look of the bike, but still provide some additional visibility at night. Here are some of the results.

Here is my helmet before and after. The tape is gloss black unless a light shines directly at it. It's 1/4" wide reflective tape.

Here, I've applied it to the wheels.

So far, I'm pretty happy with the results.
