Default rectifier plug keeps melting

I have a 90 1000 drove for 1200 miles ,had no problems took it to have valves adjusted.wiring started melting@ the shop guy rewired it now the rectifer plug keeps melting have replaced it .put another 2k on it melting agian it keeps starting @ one of the yellow wires any help would be apreciated . I have paid this shop over$400 and it keeps burning up

replace your wires with thicker gauge(lower number) stranded copper wire. solder the wires not just crimp.

could also be a bad connection between the contacts at the rectifier too.

might help. i know on my f2, there are 2 stretches of wire with a connecter near the battery. the factory wires from the connecter to the rectifier were pretty crappy.
