Alright... new to the forum here... been browsing for quite a while... just never settled in until now. I was kicking through the member pics last night, and stumbled on this 04' F4i with a GIXXER TAIL!?!?! HOW COOL IS THAT!?! Ive been looking for several months at replacing the tail on mine to the 2 piece 01/03 tail... it looks better in my opinion. But now the question is, hell... what else will fit on the back of that thing??? I know with the 01/03 conversion (as posted in the other section) what parts i need to get/aquire,etc..... but im lost on the gixxer one/ anything else. Any ideas will be appreciated.

you should post a pic of the bike you found. i was going to do that verry same thing but the geometry of the tail is so off i would have to make a new sub frame. relly sucks i had the tail and both seats to do it when i decided it was more work than it was worth

 

Can't you just get the subframe for the 01-03s? I see them on ebay all the time between $50-$100. I thought you could swap the subframe and everything, but mabye I'm wrong. Sell your 04 and up and buy an 03?? J/K I wish I could be more help.

Sorry didn't read the whole first post, just saw tail swap. I guess anything is possible if you have the patience and time. There is a guy on a gsxr forum that swaped the tail section from an 05 to his 03 gsxr 1k. Just took a little modifying but I'm sure it can be done to your bike too.
