rear brake light switch
My rear brake pedal does not activate the brake light so I looked for the adjuster. What I found was a wire that had a cap on it that pefectly matched the plug on the end of it. It was tucked behind the body of the bike right next to the rear brake fluid. Why would the previous owner disconnect it? What do the stock rearsets look like? There is practically no play in the pedal before the brake engages. Is that normal?
Its black plastic with with a plastic nut that allows you to adjust when the switch activates (longer or shorter). It has a piece of hardened wire coming out of the bottom, attached to the rear of the brake pedel (this is the actual switch activator).
The brake pedel position can be altered to suite your preferences, but thats only for the pedel position. There is not much play in the actual brake before it starts to work.
Sounds like they guy that owned it previously was a bit shy about ayone seeing him but the brakes on. bit sad really
