I just bought a 2001 f4i and love it, but it has a loud rattle during revving and riding around certain rpms between 6500 and 8000 seems to be the loudest. It sounds like its coming from under the fuel tank and almost Sounds like a bolt is loose or jammed somewhere, but I pulled the tank and farings and could not find anything.. Any help would be great and here is a video link.

Sounds like the CCT (cam-chain tensioner), The CBR line has two persistent flaws...
CCT failure and R/R (regulator/rectifier) failure. Fortunately, they are both relatively
inexpensive to fix. Do a search for CCT and manual chain tensioner, that should give
you the information, you're looking for. Try the "How-To Mechanical" forum,
for the search.

Once you've scoped it out, check back in, with any specific questions that pop up.
Hope this helps, Ern

This is for the OEM replacement.
For the APE Manual, just give a quick search as I know there is a How-to for that (Really not much different until you set it)
