R/R lower head gasket questions.
my friends 98 CBR 600 F3 had sat for a few months due to a blow out on the rear tire. Got the new tire in and been doing a bit a joy riding. Here is where the problem comes in it seems the #1 cylinder keeps flooding he has put carb cleaner and Gumout through it, it seem to have fixed the problem a bit. Now the bike is blowing white smoke and we believe the lower head gasket is worn and leaking, but before tearing into it I i wanna get some tips and insights from some of you guys, i've worked i cars and whatnot for a quite some years but it seems bikes are a bit different and bit more picky.
His oil has a low viscosity to it and we believe that there is some coolant/water getting into the oil, when he did his last oil change he didn't use any specific "Honda" brand motorcycle oil, just used regular automotive oil.
the bike is a 1998 Honda CBR600 F3, were in some dire need of help, i dont wanna just start breaking into the motor not knowing 110% sure on what im doing. It is blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. The coolant levels never seem to change ofcourse he hasn't driven it enough figuring it might damage the bike.
Any and all help is appreciated GREATLY.
