questioned about insurance?
I just purchased a 2004 honda cbr600 RR. I have my insurance w/nationwide but they will not cover my bike. I found other insurance companies to cover but I have to transfer my cars. does anybody know of a insurance company that will cover my bike without having to switch my car coverages. farm bureau will cover for 28 per month but like i said i have to switch coverages. thanks for your help.
They'd force you to transfer your cars? Hmm, that doesn't sound right to me.
I live in VA, I'm going to be a new rider. I've gotten quotes (liability only since my bike was so old, and free, and I'm 28 with a clean driving record... until this past sunday). Progressive gave me the best quote. Geico quoted me double than progressive and Erie (who I'm with now) told me I'd be better off getting separate motorcycle insurance somewhere else since they'd be waaaay too expensive.

nationwide told me that my cbr600RR was a high-risk bike and that they would not cover it. its pretty ironic because I was looking at the new american iron magazine and nationwide had an ad in there. the ad featured a brand new zx-ninja with a custom nationwide paint. same type of bike as my honda and yet they will not touch it.
. How old are you? I ride an 01' F4i, and I am over 30,married, children, maybe that factors in. Try State Farm, they have good rates for bikes. Progressive also has decent rates, but I hate them with a passion, but have used them on my Harley. I forgot about that. Nationwide would cover my 1000cc old harley, but they wanted some ungodly amount of money for it. So I went with Progressive for a little while on just that bike.
