Default Question for motorcyle tech

Odd front tire wear. Middle of tire is slightly ridged, not quite wavey, even wear on both sides. No wheelies, good fork fluid level, slightly high air pressure 35psi-38, its been cold. Forks have been off bike for rebuild, alignment problem?? Very seldom ride on a stright rode. Any ideas for correcting this problem before I get new tires would be great. Tires are Dunlops with about 5k and a year old.

Another bit, steering damper for a 93-95 900rr, The tank has only the one front center bolt. Any adapters for the scotts damper?? And modifacations that work well?

Thanks again.

I had a set of tires wear funny or at least that is what I thought, but found out it was normal wear.

However, do you have pictures?

I had Dunlop Sport Max's do the same thing to me. When you spun the tire it almost looked like the rim was bent! I think it was from running the tire at too low psi. The Dunlops have metal lining and it can become distorted from the low pressure. This may be your problem, were they run low for any extended period of time?

check this out mang...
dunlops are notorious for cupping (where the tire just looks all bubbly and jacked up and odd). when this happens, it means it's time to buy a new set mang. however, in certain cases, could be caused by improperly adjusted suspension, but more often than not, tire is just old and needs replacing. all tires will eventually do this. mah diablos didn't do this until the very very end, on her last breath...and that's when i said goodbye and buried her.
