Default Question about the Gas over flow

Does anybody else's bike spit out gas when you stop in the sun for about an hour after you filled it up? This has happen to me twice now. I filled the tank up (I think to much) right to the silver rim in the tank and when I stop the pressure must build up and push the gas through the overflow. Has anyone else experienced this?
One other question, has anyone put their hand on the stator cover after riding? My old 600 F4 got pretty warm but my 954 is to hot to put my hand on, is this normal?

Where does it spit out? My bet is that your tank vent tube is plugged up causing the gas to expand. Not to sure about your stator cover.

Its coming out of the overflow tube located next to the kick stand. I was thinking the tank vent tube was pinched/plugged also, preventing it from getting any air and building up so much pressure its coming out of the over flow.
