Default Progrip 699 grips are amazing

Just bought and put on a pair of Progrip 699 gel grips on the F4i and it made a huge difference. I was thinking it might help over the stock grips, but the difference was startling. I have ordered some hvmp heavy bar ends to put on but haven't received them yet so i just installed the grips, and it made such a big difference i may not even need the heavier bar ends. I'll probably keep them anyways, but i just didn't expect the grips alone to make such a difference. If you're riding with the stock grips this would make a dramatic improvement in your ride...and for $9 you can't lose. Just thought i'd share. Cheers!

Where did you buy them from? I'm going to start looking to replace the stockers soon.

Most any dealership should have a selection of grips. I'd recommend seeing them in person. The ones i was going to order originally weren't very thick at all and i don't think they would have helped very much. But in case someone was going to order any, i just wanted to let them know that these really work.

I also got my hvmp bar ends in yesterday. Very nice pieces and quite heavy. As much as the grip helped and as heavy as these are, i'm betting i'll have something close to negative vibration...if that's possible...

Is that like Anti-gravity, Anti-matter, Anti-photons?

Um...sure.

And i installed the hvmp bar ends and they also made a noticeable difference, and look pretty trick, too. I'd say the grips reduced vibration by about 50%, and the bar ends another 30%. You can't hardly feel anymore under 55mph, and on the freeway it's an incredible improvement. This is definately the way to go if you're looking to give your hands a break.

Just curious but do the grips affect your cornering or feedback? I'm looking for new grips and will be adding heated grips soon. I'll look into them though because I do use my bike as a daily driver.

I have the SCS Pro Grips and love em! No glue. There is a built in band that you anchor the grip down to the bar by way of an allen screw. The grips are smooth, and provide a responsive touch.
