Default Pressure Plate

Hey all, I own a 2004 CBR 600 F4I. I did that Evo Shift Kit and when i installed the Pressure Plate back onto the clutch I broke 2 bolts when i torqued them to 9 lb. My buddy owns a machine shop so we drilled the bolts out and tapped them back to normal. I went to a Honda dealership and bought 5 new bolts and installed the plate. Instead of torquing them down to 9 lb again, i just made them a little more then hand tight, and threw some blue lock tight on them. When i took the bike out for a test ride i noticed the clutch lets out almost all the way. Before it was like half way. Is this because of the bolts only being hand tight and not torque down to spec? Or should i just adjust the cable?

Start simple; adjusting the clutch cable only takes like 10 min. and could be the culprit. There should be 3/8" to 13/16" of play in the clutch lever. Otherwise, how does the shifting feel? Any improvement?

K, I'll try adjusting the cable first. There is a great improvement on the shifting. It's was a very easy mod to do especially with the how to guide from thirdgenlxi. I highly recommend this mod to everyone, you can really feel the difference in the shifting compared to the stock setup.
