Default Plug change on a 2007 1000RR

I pulled the plugs on my 1000RR today. Which brought me to a few questions.
The bike has 13k on it... I am the third owner, uncertain how it was treated in the past.
When I pulled the coils I noticed that they each had oil on them. Not a huge amount, but enough for me to make this post. I noticed they seat pretty well into the top portion of the cover, so I wasn't sure if oil was expected to gather on them or they seated for weathering purposes or both. From my experience oil here on the coils means time for a valve cover. Is this normal to see? The bike has 13k on it... I am the third owner, uncertain how it was treated in the past.

I attempted to get a good picture of inside the cover but that proved near impossible without pulled the motor.

Here are some pictures of the plugs... No oil gathering on the plugs that I can see. What plugs are OEM on the bike? I expected to pull out some NGK's instead I got Denso Iridium's VUH27ES

Now that im ready to put in new plugs, I thought it would be a good time to do a compression test. My compression test theory is always to test with the motor warm. However just getting to the plugs I can see that this is almost impossible before the motor cools. So when you guys do perform compression tests is it needed to have the motor warm?

Anything else you guys recomend while I have the bike this far apart? i dont want to do it again in the near future lol... That friggen air flap that sits over the motor was a PITD to move out of the way..

Im looking at some diagrams... It doesnt look like the oil is from the valve cover... Rather seals in the head... -_- ....
