Please help asap!
So, I have a 02 CBR 600 F4i. with just over 11K miles. I have NEVER had a problem until today. This morning on my way to work was rather cold. Much colder than normal, The bike started fine. I have never even revved the bike until it gets to 120F temperature so i know it's warm. But this morning the bike would be running fine then suddenly lose power and stop accelerating and my FI light would come on, go back off, and restore power. I decided to open the throttle a little more. Got to 70mph in 2nd gear so moderately high RPM and then the FI light came on and the bike started stuttering somewhat violently. I rode on to work and stayed below 8K RPM with no problem. Tonight on my way home was just as cold as this morning, again, started fine and was fine unless i got near 8K RPM. This time the bike completely shut off rather than just stuttering and i would have to down shift to 1st or neutral and start the bike back up while rolling. it only seems to happen at higher RPM, can someone please tell me what is going on. I've found a few things about being the map sensor or fuel pressure regulator, but i'm not very familiar with bike mechanics. No mechanical mods other than exhaust. Had it for a while and never had a problem. This is my only method of transportation so help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you lifted the tank or done anything to the bike recently? Something possibly could have become disconnected.
Jump the diagnostic connector and get the code that is stored in the ecm turning the FI light on.
Check connectors for signs of bad connections.
Do a battery/charging system test to make sure your voltages are all good. Low voltage can do all kinds of wacky stuff.
Download a manual if you dont have one. All the test procedures will be in there.
That's where I would start.

Water in the fuel turning to ice when it's really cold and blocking fuel delivery perhaps? It happened to me on my old enduro.
Some of that water displacing fuel tank additive cured the problem but be careful on how much you add. A motorcycle fuel tank is much smaller than a car's and you don't want to put in more than the recommended ratio in the directions. Definately do not pour in the entire bottle.
