Peculiar Sound
Well I changed out my chain and sprockets, see:

Getting a new sound when coasting with clutch in. I sounds like an exhaust leak, but I didn't feel any leaks where the slip-on attaches.
Chain slack still looks good.
Just wondering if anyone had the same experience. I'll try to investigate a little further and get back.

Did you change something exhaust wise??? Changing out your sprockets and chain shouldnt casue anything like that. Matbe you never notice it before. I am not sure exactly what your getting at, but changing that out shouldnt cause an issue
O and it may seem like all the bolts on the header are really tight but I had to turn each one till it couldnt turn anymore then I went to each one after I tightened one, because turning one can make it so the others have room to tighten. So it may be hard to tell if it is your header(use ur nose), but if it has a dent i would say it is a good candidate.

I don't believe it's the exhaust.
It is a fluttering sound, which lead me to believe it was the exhaust. Sounds like you breathing out your mouth and rolling your tongue (as if you were playing Yazz-flute like Ron Burgundy). The fluttering increases with velocity, but seems to be unaffected by the engine RPM. I have to hold in the clutch and release the throttle for the sound to be audible over the engine/exhaust.
So it is definitely chain/sprocket/trans related. Although it could be tires/brakes or other, most likely something I changed.
Here's one thing that I did when installing the front sprocket. The bolt would not come loose, even with the motor in gear. I was just turning the motor over. So I thought maybe the bolt was left-hand thread ??? so I turned it in gear clockwise. There was some tension, but after I brought the torque up the gear assembly turned something in the transmission. Would I have damaged something in the transmission by turning it CW in gear?
After installing the front sprocket, torqued up to I think 70lb/ft, I still have a little, wobble in the gear. Which I thought the old on had before I took it off. Seems like it would need a spacer to eliminate the wobble, since the bolt is tapered. Maybe my washer has flatened out...
I guess next time I'll use an air wrench or leave the chain together and lock the rear wheel some how...

I know some stock sprockets sometimes have rubber on them to help eleminate sounds. Then you notice the sound when you have steel or aluminum without the rubber. Just a guess.....

are your fairings fastned in tightly? it may be a loose plastic section. I never noticed a chain making any noise like that when I replaced one, and check your exhaust for sure.
No loose body parts when I looked over it earlier today. Once I go bellow 10-15mph, I don't really here the sound anymore. Seems to be directly related to speed and not engine vibrations.
I'll have to jack it up and turn the rear to see if I can pin point the sound. Since it not a constant noise, makes me think its one point on the chain. If it was on the sprocket or in the trans it would sound more constant since they revolve many more times the the chain.
