I bought a cbr400rr which someone has wedged a cbr600 into. It needs going over and all connecting up but have my 87 cbr600 to finish first.

When I got the cbr400rr, the guy also gave me an engine in parts. Having looked at it all, I seem to be missing 1 camshaft and bizarrely a metal part which holds the flywheel onto the crank / into the case .

I can possibly make the missing part or try find it on cmsnl but does anyone know of any physical differences between the engines? The engine number has been scrubbed off so I can't tell what engine it is. Should the camshafts have a particular number on them which might help?

Any help greatly appreciated. I'm looking to put it back together to save space in the garage!
