I know the paint topic has been beaten to death here but I can't quite find any reviews on paint brands that people have actually used. This is not forRattle Can paint but paint you spray with a gun.

So… What brand did you use, where did you buy it, how much was it, how much paint did you use, and how did it come out?

I have also heard that you have to have the paint shop put in an additive to make the paint more flexible for the fairings or buy paint specifically for plastic. Is this true or can you buy any paint, spray it and forget about it? Would this be the same for primer, base coat, and clear coat?

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

You do need a fex agent mixed into the paint so it dont crack (spider web) when spraying plastic or fiberglass and depending on what color you plan to paint it it will help to determine the price. Me personally i would find a body shop and ask where you can find a Dupont paint dealer. Most will mix what ever you want there and give you a estimate before you buy. And how it comes out also depends on what preasure your spray gun is set up for and if you wet sand properly as well as being careful not to have too much thinner in your paint mix. Most importantly make sure the surface is clean of all chemicals including skin oils before you spray to reduce orange peel.
