overheated oil??
Alright, i know i've overfilled the oil in my bike, and, run like that for 3 days. I know this because it's been acting funny. My question is now, after I remove oil to get it to where it needs to be, is the oil that is still in the bike any good? A guy I work with here swears that the oil is no good now because having too much oil in the engine, and, it'll overheat the oil, destroying it. Can anybody confirm that? Thanks in advance

Oil will 'coke', but not in a normal motor. I know overfilling is bad for the motor, but I can't imagine oil getting overheated or coked like in a turbo spooling down from 75000 rpm resting on a half drop of oil.
There shouldn't be anything wrong w/the oil, but being over full could have knocked stuff (carbon, old burnt oil n w/not) loose in the upper part of the crankcase. Changing the oil is pretty cheap, change it if your not sure.
Try not to overfill next time dude!
You should try using AmSoil 10W-40 in your bike...you will love that stuff as much as I do!
But there should not be a problem at all with a little overfilling...by the way...how much more did you put over the limit?

Just take a bit of oil off... I wouldn't do an oil change.
How's the bike running now? Did you figure out the clutch issue?
