Default Oil Questions...SF/SG

My 1996 CBR's manual says to use SF or SG. I don't know what that means, but I'm been using Rotella T 5W40 so far (with no issues).

Whats the difference b/w SF/SG and MA?

Can I continue using Rotella? My bikes shifts smoother even heavy traffic with Shell.

Thanks

I've been using the rotella synthetic too. From what I've read, it should be fine and protect as well as the WAY more expensive bike specific oils.

Cool link.

So does that mean SF/SG is included in JASO MA?
