ive been riding my bike a ton
back and forth to work about every day
its due for an oil change and when i went to check the oil
i noticed on the side opposite of the kickstand
there is a cover looks like it is sealed with orange silicon
im not sure if thats what exactly is leaking but i think its a good chance
and
you check the oil with the bike off right
and standing straight up right?
ooh and its an 2001 F4i
is it pretty easy to fix this leak?

Any oil leak is not good. I'd pull the fairing off and take a closer look. When looking for an oil look always look for the highest wet spot. That's usually where it is coming from. You want to check your oil with the bike off and standing straight up off the sidestand.
