Hello, first post for me so hello to all.

Can you put an adjustable carb needle in with no stock or extra shims underneath, so the c clip is the only thing going in and the needle will rest in the clip only. Or is some form of washer needed to level or center the c clip.

Welcome to the forum. What model are you referring to? Perhaps, for best results, post in the proper area for your model, someone most likely has had them apart and can answer better there.

Also what adjustable carb needle are you talking about? What is the final results you are trying to achieve (why are you changing needles)?
