Default newbie help please

What's up everyone just purchased a 1999 cbr600 with an engine swap to fuel injected . Motor .. ok my question is the bike was dropped front and side fairings destroyed engine cranks but does not start ... replaced the tip over sensor .. still no start.. does the headlight need to be there I have only hooked up the new sensor and held it up to try to start bike...?my first bike so I'm learning . Thanks .

Yes. In some cases, it needs to be connected for the fuel pump to work.

Welcome to CBRF! Sorry to hear you're having issues. I saw on google that the tip over sensor (BAS) was in the headlight cluster - so yes, it'd have to be plugged in. But you said you replaced yours... was it in the headlight cluster? If you move your question to the F4i section, F4 section, General Tech section, or SF section - we'll help you out. Good luck!

Are you sure that the sensor isn't installed upside down? It has happened before.

I have the side that say up facing up.. on the sensor I have heard that these bikes will not start of the headlight assembly isn't installed
